ABDO introduces Abdo Kids imprints

December 27, 2016

Minneapolis – ABDO (abdopublishing.com), a leading educational publisher, introduces imprints to its popular Abdo Kids division.

“This division has really taken off,” said Editor-in-Chief Paul Abdo. “With so many new series coming out each season to meet the demand of the market, we felt it was time to organize by style to assist librarians in finding exactly what they’re looking for.”

All Abdo Kids titles continue to be written for PreK through 2nd grade readers and offer free resources online at abdokids.com. The key difference between the imprints is the layout and design of the books.

Abdo Kids Junior features a clean design and simple sentences for the youngest readers. Clear photos and abundant white space helps brand new readers grasp content and strengthen reading skills.

Abdo Kids Jumbo titles boast huge, full-color images and large trim size for young beginning readers. The visually appealing series attract the eye, and short sentences allow for a focus on reading improvement.

“We’re going to continue providing high-quality content for young readers,” Abdo said. “Now it’s just going to be easier for librarians to find the design they want.”

The division, led by the second generation of Abdo family publishing professionals, was started in 2014 to encourage PreK-2 students who love exploring reading with high-interest topics and a fresh design. With Abdo Kids, the book is just the beginning.
