Horses – School Library Journal, Series Made Simple
With two or three sentences per page, this set introduces the most basic traits of horse breeds. Most of the content focuses on physical features and the ways horses are used by humans, along with a bit about their temperament. The writing uses short, direct sentences that are generally clear enough for early readers . . . . A closing “More Facts” page provides a few extra tidbits. Clean layouts feature a single photograph across each spread, accompanied by large text against a white background. Serviceable introductions for the youngest of horse enthusiasts.
